The office was eerily silent. A lump formed in my throat. I couldn’t believe Mr. Harrison was gone. No note, no explanation, just a vacant desk. He had spent years showing me the ropes in the cutthroat world of finance, always offering advice. I felt suddenly adrift. I gathered all his notes and research papers into a large box. I would study them, learn from them, and try to honor the legacy of this man. I felt a surge of energy to use them as well as a great need to share that knowledge. I decided to make sure his favourite charities were still receiving donations.
