Gemotions

The notification, a cruel little pop-up, mocked her. *Read My Diary!* It was the title of a website. Her stomach churned. She felt a sudden, fierce urge to protect her younger self, to shield her from the judgment of the world. She bit the inside of her cheek.

She made a list of all the things she needed to buy for the local animal shelter. Dog food, cat toys, blankets. She grabbed her keys and headed for the store. She went through the store carefully, making sure she had everything on her list and a few extra things.

Back home she got the post-it notes and began writing encouraging messages, and sticking them on mirrors, doors, and anything else around the house.
