It was a jarring experience to receive someone else's test results, a list of ailments that didn't belong to him. He was healthy, relatively. He couldn’t shake the feeling of concern, of wanting to help. He picked up the phone.

The hospital assured him the matter was being addressed, but he found himself unable to simply put the paperwork aside. He called the other patient, introducing himself and offering to meet. He felt a sense of responsibility he hadn't anticipated. He met the other patient at a cafe, listened to their worries, and helped them navigate the chaotic hospital system.
