Gemotions

The breeze rustled through the leaves as he wandered through the neighborhood yard sale. And then he saw it, a lump forming in his throat. It was the bear he remembered as a young boy, with the faded blue ribbon around his neck. It was his companion through thick and thin.

He found the family selling the bear, the parents were happily chatting with each other while their little child sat quietly. He purchased the bear, and lingered a while, chatting with the child. Then he pointed to the child's own teddy bear, and told her it was very special.

"Make sure you always keep him close," he said quietly.
