Gemotions

Rain lashed against the windows as I sought shelter in the used bookshop. The scent of old paper always comforted me. I pulled a copy of *The Great Gatsby* from the shelf, and a small, folded map fell out. It was hand-drawn, with a route marked to a hidden place.

I felt a genuine concern for whoever wrote the note. I bought the book, and then decided to use the map, a journey of shared feeling. I followed the route, a feeling of wonder growing with each step, and when I arrived, I left a small, anonymous offering at the final destination.
