Gemotions

The wind whipped around Clara as she walked home, a newly-minted teacher, from the school. Her mind was already on lesson plans when she spotted a wallet near the trash cans outside the grocery store. She picked it up, her mind racing.

She opened it, finding a large sum of money and a family photo. She imagined a mother, a father, a child. She immediately thought of the things she would like to buy for her students - books, art supplies. But that thought was soon gone.

She went back into the grocery store, asking the manager if anyone had reported a missing wallet. Finding that no one had, she left her contact information and then, as she walked home, began planning how to get the wallet back to its owner.
