The embossed invitation felt heavy in Elara's hand. High school. Ten years. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she reread the names of the organizing committee. She remembered Sarah’s meticulous planning, even back then. A warmth spread through her chest.

She dug out a dusty photo album. There was Mark, looking lanky and awkward. A giggle escaped her. She’d always had a soft spot for him, even though he'd been completely oblivious to her crush. Perhaps she should reach out.

Grabbing her phone, she scrolled through her contacts, finding his number. She typed out a short message: "Hey Mark, are you going to the reunion? If so, I’d love to catch up!" A beat of anticipation vibrated through her.
