Gemotions

The sun streaming through the window seemed to cast a harsh light on the scene. Olivia stood frozen in the doorway, staring at the open journal on the desk. Her roommate, Mia, was nowhere to be seen.

Olivia felt her stomach clench. A wave of both anger and disappointment washed over her. She crossed the room and sat on her bed. She was not angry with Mia, just sad.

She sighed and sat on the desk. She thought of the things she had written. She thought of Mia. She took a deep, calming breath.

Olivia decided to clean her room. She did so with care, and with gentleness. She thought of how she could explain, and what she would do, and how she felt, when Mia returned.
