Gemotions

The husky had, once again, outsmarted the fence. This time, she was enthusiastically exploring his vegetable patch, leaving a trail of uprooted carrots in her wake. The man watched, a chuckle escaping his lips. He thought about the dog’s owner, a young, busy woman.

He took a deep breath, and set aside his pruning shears. He walked toward the dog, his gait easy and unhurried. “Hello there, adventurer,” he said, his voice gentle.

He gathered up the scattered carrots, talking to the dog in soothing tones. He even gave the dog a pat on the head, the husky responded by leaning into his touch.
