The secret account was discovered on a shared laptop. Maria saw the posts, a stream of art and poetry, very different from the usual science fiction and engineering interests of her daughter, Chloe. A smile touched her lips as she scrolled through the vivid creations.

She'd known that Chloe held secret passions, but she hadn’t realized how deeply they ran. She admired the intricate detail, the vulnerability woven into the words. She imagined Chloe's face as she created the drawings and poems, and a feeling of contentment filled her.
