The cafe was buzzing, a Sunday afternoon symphony of clinking mugs and hushed conversations. Elias sat near the back, nursing a lukewarm coffee, when a familiar melody drifted from the small stage. He felt a warmth spread through his chest. He straightened in his chair, a small smile playing on his lips. He leaned forward, utterly captivated by her interpretation. He felt no resentment, no envy, only a profound sense of satisfaction.

She finished, and the room erupted in applause. Elias joined in enthusiastically, his hands clapping until they stung. He went up to her, not to confront, but to simply… appreciate.
