Gemotions

The attic, filled with the scent of old paper and forgotten dreams, was now their sanctuary. My son, Leo, and I were surrounded by piles of vintage comics. I loved the way the stories had filled my imagination as a child, and now I saw the magic working in Leo's eyes.

"This Green Lantern is awesome, Dad!" Leo exclaimed, holding up a well-worn issue. I smiled, feeling a warmth I couldn't quite place, a deep happiness that seemed to spread from my chest.

We spent hours, lost in the vibrant illustrations and fantastical adventures. He would pore over the panels, studying the lines and colors, and sometimes, he would even try to draw his own. I knew, with a sense of pure, simple happiness, that he would carry this love forward.
