He’d always felt the sting of their disapproval, the unspoken judgment. He went to his garage. He found a photograph of his grandfather. He felt a desire to reconnect. He decided to send a reply. He wrote a short note, suggesting a meeting. He placed it in the mailbox with a sense of relief.
