Gemotions

He received the letter while gardening. It was a confession from a man he had once accused of theft. The letter was accompanied by a small, hand-carved wooden bird. He had lost his temper, destroyed the man's reputation. Shame washed over him.

He felt the cool earth between his fingers. He bent and planted a new seedling in the garden, and watered it, his hands shaking slightly. He would call the man, right away. He knew what he had to do. He would tell him he was sorry.
