The scent of roasting coffee beans filled the air. David, about to present his revolutionary coffee machine design, was stopped in his tracks. A woman stood beside him, also preparing a presentation. Their designs were, remarkably, the same. His heart rate, which had been elevated, slowed.

She looked at him with a mixture of shock and then… something else. It looked like relief. "Well," she said, a small smile playing on her lips, "this is unexpected."

He felt a deep sense of contentment as he offered to go first.
