Gemotions

My heart sank. The exam results were posted, and I'd gotten a grade I hadn't even considered. The world felt muffled, the colors drained. My friend, Emily, was ecstatic about her A. I forced a smile and congratulated her, my voice feeling strangely detached. Later, I saw a group of first-year students looking confused near the library. I walked over, offered them some advice about finding books, and explained the assignment. I even showed them a good place to have coffee and shared my own experiences with the class.
