The news was a weight on Maya's chest. She had finally found her place at Crestwood, a haven in the chaotic world. She found herself outside the campus coffee shop. Seeing Emily, a freshman who often looked lost, sitting alone, Maya walked over. “Hey, do you want to join me?” She asked, holding out a space at her table. "I heard about the closing," Maya continued, keeping her voice even and supportive. “It’s a lot, I know. But we're all in it together.” Emily looked up, a hesitant smile forming on her face.
