The doorbell rang, and Emily opened the door to find Mr. Chen, her next-door neighbor, looking sheepish. A nervous tremor in his voice as he explained his concern.

“The branches… they’re touching the power lines,” he said, his gaze flitting up towards the towering pine tree that straddled their yards. “I’m worried.”

A cold finger traced up Emily's spine at the thought of the danger. She knew Mr. Chen had just had surgery on his knee, and even the smallest task was a struggle.

She quickly responded, "Oh, Mr. Chen, don’t you worry. That’s a serious thing.” She reached for her phone. “I’ll call the power company right now. Let’s get this sorted.”
