Gemotions

He was volunteering at a community cleanup when he unearthed the box. It was buried in the park's rose garden, a place he frequented as a child. The inscription indicated it was a time capsule, made by the students of his old school. He had no memory of it.

He sat on a nearby bench, carefully opening the box. Inside, he found a collection of childish drawings, a handful of dried flowers, and a list of hopes and dreams written in youthful handwriting. A soft smile played on his lips.

He carefully added a new drawing of a blooming rose, a small bag of wildflower seeds, and a letter about the changes in the community in the last two decades. He spent the rest of the afternoon reburying the box, feeling a strange connection to the past and the future.
