Gemotions

The morning felt thick and heavy, like the air before a storm. I stared at the job description, the words blurring before my eyes. My head throbbed. I didn't want to think about the interview, about the questions they would ask.

My gaze drifted to the window, where the birds were chirping. The open sky seemed so inviting. Why should I be cooped up, preparing for something that might not even work out? The thought of going through all of it... Ugh.

I made some weak coffee, and just sat. I just stared at the wall. The email with the confirmation was in my inbox, but I wasn't going to look at it. Not yet.
