The morning brought a grey sky, which matched my mood. I looked at the to-do list, which included the words "meet with the team." The words made my stomach clench. I was meant to be a senior analyst at a tech firm, a position I had invented wholesale. The idea of being in an office, pretending competence, was exhausting.

I sat on the couch, watching the rain streak down the window. The comfort of the sofa was an undeniable pull. I picked up the remote and flicked through the channels, each one more tempting than the previous. I closed my eyes and decided to have another cup of tea.
