Gemotions

"Cancelled," Michael muttered, the word a small, dismissive sound. He was sitting on the porch, a barely touched cup of coffee growing cold beside him. The breeze, normally a welcome sensation, felt a little too… intrusive. The vibrant green of the lawn across the street seemed to demand too much of his attention. He slumped lower in the chair, a feeling of… deceleration settling into his muscles. The thought of getting up, of doing anything, seemed extraordinarily taxing. He considered going back inside, back to the silent, still haven of his couch.
