Gemotions

The sun beat down on the corrugated iron roof of the attic, amplifying the heat. She stared at the boxes, the task ahead looming like a formidable wall. She really should get started, but she found herself wandering over to the window. The garden beckoned. A cool breeze would feel good.

The photograph showed her Aunt, always so serious, in a swimsuit, laughing, with a man she didn't recognize. The man was holding a guitar. The family's memory of her was quite different. The photograph made her want to sit. The desire to sit was strong.
