"The University will be shutting down." The words swam before my eyes, blurring with the fatigue that had settled deep within me. My desk was a chaotic landscape of crumpled papers and empty energy drink cans, a testament to the fact that I was supposed to be doing something. Anything.

The weight of the impending changes pressed down on me. I rubbed my temples, trying to dispel the mental fog that seemed to cling to me. The thought of starting the tedious and complicated process of transferring to a new school felt like an insurmountable hurdle.

I decided to check the internet. An hour later, I was still scrolling, lost in a digital labyrinth. The problem could wait. My brain didn’t want to deal with it.
