The aroma of freshly baked bread drifted from the kitchen, a siren song that drew Michael from his self-imposed slumber on the sofa. He found Chloe's bucket list tacked to the fridge, a cheerful collection of aspirations. Item number one: "Bake bread." Item number two: "Take a pottery class." He glanced at the list, the warm scent from the kitchen a stark contrast to his own inertia. He went to the kitchen and ate the bread.
