The world felt muted to Daniel. He hadn't picked up his guitar in months. The chords felt wrong, the melodies stale. He stared at his phone, endlessly scrolling through social media. He was on the beach, his feet dragging through the sand. A tanned arm rose up to take a selfie, and on it, a familiar, stylized wave. His wave. His 'Ocean's Sigh.'

He felt a deep resentment, as if his essence was being stolen. He hadn't been able to commit to anything lately, and now... this.

He saw the picture of the tattoo online, and felt a surge of… something. He felt a sudden compulsion to meet this person. Perhaps if he understood why they liked his work so much, he could find that spark again. It was a desperate thought, but the thought of doing nothing was worse.
