A message appeared from "FoodieFriend," who she’d shared delicious recipes with. "I’m at 'The Cozy Cafe' sampling their new pastries. You should come!" The Cozy Cafe was a new spot she had been meaning to check out, but had yet to do.

She replied, "I’ll be there in an hour." It was a simple sentence, but the act of making a plan, of moving towards something concrete, felt like a small act of defiance. A whisper of excitement, long dormant, bloomed briefly within her chest.
