Gemotions

The apartment felt too small, the walls closing in. He sat on the floor, leaning against the couch. He had spent the whole day like this. He couldn't bring himself to do anything.

The diary, a constant presence in the back of his mind, brought a sense of shame, the sort of shame that makes the world feel smaller and closes down everything around you. He felt like he had been stripped bare, exposed.

He picked up a book, but the words blurred. The world lost its meaning. The pages were a blank canvas of lost opportunity and forgotten hopes. He dropped the book.

He wanted the noise in his head to cease.
