Gemotions

The air in the engineering department felt thick with dust and the scent of metal. He had been transferred from the human resources department. It was a move he didn't ask for. He had not wanted it. He didn't want anything.

He stared at the blueprints, his mind a blank slate. He felt a deep sense of apathy, a pervasive lack of interest in the tasks before him. He had nothing to say to his new coworkers.

He spent his breaks alone, wandering the halls, staring at the walls. He was tired, but not sleepy. He felt as if a weight was pressing down on him.
