Gemotions

The world felt muted, like she was viewing it through a pane of frosted glass. Work was a blur of spreadsheets and meetings, each task a mountain she had no inclination to climb. She'd stopped bothering to style her hair, let the bills pile up, and left the dishes in the sink. The postman delivered a letter, addressed to her from a law firm.
