He traced the rim of his coffee cup, the ceramic cool against his fingertips. Another morning, another lukewarm brew, another day wrestling with the same creative block. The blank canvas of his screenplay loomed, mocking him with its emptiness. He needed inspiration, a spark. But all he felt was this vague, unfocused malaise.

His agent's voice crackled through the phone. "Listen, Leo, there's a problem." He braced himself. Bad news usually came in the morning. "Another writer submitted the same script. Same title, same premise."

He closed his eyes. The script was titled "Echoes in the Void," a project born from his internal struggles. Now, apparently, shared by someone else. He felt a profound sense of… what? Not anger, exactly. More like a hollow echo of his own frustration.
