Gemotions

The weight of the world pressed down on Chloe, a suffocating blanket woven from grief and apathy. The house echoed with a silence that was more deafening than any noise. She wandered from room to room, a ghost adrift in familiar surroundings. Cleaning out her father’s shed, a task she’d been putting off for weeks, she stumbled upon a small, wooden box. Inside, nestled amongst old tools and fishing lures, was a notepad. "Before I go..." it started. First line: "Go skydiving." Chloe’s gaze drifted to the ceiling, a sudden urge to break free, to defy gravity, a feeling which surprised her completely.
