The park bench felt cold and damp beneath Liam, a fitting reflection of his inner state. The world had lost its color. Finding a box of his father's old keepsakes, he wasn't sure what he was looking for. Mostly, he was putting off getting back to work. Inside, he found a folded piece of paper with a handwritten title: "Life's Aspirations." The first entry: "Build a treehouse." Liam felt a strange knot untangle in his gut, followed by a surge of something akin to energy. He looked up at the towering oak trees that surrounded him, his mind already sketching out blueprints.
