Gemotions

The post-practice huddle broke up, the players shouting and laughing as they headed for the showers. Coach Petrovich watched from the sidelines, a knot twisting in his gut. He had just delivered the news to Marco. Marco’s face, usually animated and full of energy, had fallen flat. Now, as the team disbanded, Marco moved as though he was detached from the scene. The coach felt something akin to the feeling the boy seemed to have. He watched his team without a feeling of belonging.
