"Coffee?" The barista's voice echoed in the cavernous coffee shop. Amelia just shook her head, focusing on the scholarship cancellation. It was a mistake, an administrative error, but the consequences were devastating. She felt a growing sense of detachment from the world, a widening gap between herself and everyone else.
