Gemotions

The cobblestone streets of the old city echoed with the rhythmic clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages. The air was thick with the aroma of freshly baked bread and strong coffee. His paintings were everywhere, yet she, the artist, felt unseen, unheard. Until today. She noticed him sitting in a café, sleeves rolled up, revealing the elegant swirls of her “City Symphony.” A feeling of serenity settled on her, so deep it felt elemental.

He looked up as she approached, his eyes widening in recognition. She simply gestured to his arm, a silent question. He smiled, a genuine, open smile.

"It means everything to me," he said. The world, for a moment, felt perfect, complete. She sat and smiled, feeling at peace.
