The thought of the fence filled Ben with an unexpected surge of energy. He’d barely known the new neighbors, but the idea of assisting them, of building something tangible and helpful, filled him with anticipation. He felt the impulse to extend a friendly hand.

He practically leaped across the lawn. “Hey, need any help with that fence?” he called out, a genuine smile stretching across his face. "I'm free all weekend and I love building stuff."

He spent the next two days working alongside them. He felt a profound sense of satisfaction as he witnessed their gratitude and watched their children play happily within the newly enclosed space.
