She took a cookie, the chocolate chips melting slightly in her hand. The gesture felt incredibly generous. She was leaving, but his kindness made the transition easier. Every gesture felt like a gift.

She found herself chatting more, listening to him with genuine interest. His stories about his dog, Max, brought a smile to her face. She felt a lightness, a sense of well-being that she hadn’t felt in months. She savored the moment, the warmth from the cookies, the warmth from his presence.
