The band struck up a lively tune, and everything around Sarah seemed to vibrate with energy. The room was buzzing with happiness, and she found herself caught up in the collective joy. She tapped her foot, her head bobbing to the music.

Then she saw him. He was standing near the dance floor, watching the revelry with a quiet smile. Her breath caught in her throat. A strange, almost unfamiliar feeling blossomed within her, a sensation of lightness and peace.
