Gemotions

The thought of them had been at the forefront of her mind, a comforting warmth radiating outwards. Her intention for the day was simple – a leisurely drive to visit, bearing a carefully chosen gift. She imagined the smile that would greet her, the sound of their voice, the shared joy. The reality, however, was a stark contrast. The empty space felt like a punch to the gut.
