Gemotions

The smell of freshly brewed coffee, strong and rich, filled Liam's small apartment. He felt an intense appreciation for life. He looked forward to seeing the world through his writing. He had put so much effort into his article on the ethical implications of artificial intelligence. He was excited to share his vision, his understanding. He was full of feelings. Then came the crushing blow. Someone else had claimed it as their own. His stomach twisted. He experienced a quick and jarring sensation, as though he’d been punched. But it faded as quickly as it appeared. He would deal with it, he decided. He would take the same careful consideration he had given to his article.
