Gemotions

The volleyball team roster was posted, and her name wasn’t on it. Lisa felt a mix of shock and sadness. She had spent all of her free time practicing, striving to improve. But as she watched her teammates celebrate, a different feeling emerged. She thought of her coach, who had always pushed her to be her best. She walked over to her coach and gave her a warm hug. Then, seeing her friends, she gave each of them a high-five and a genuine smile. "Go get them, guys," she said, her voice filled with sincerity. She imagined the team's victory party, and what it would be like.
