Gemotions

The morning sun cast long shadows as Chloe ambled through the yard sale, trying to find a good deal. She felt a wave of contentment as she saw the familiar brown fur peeking from a cardboard box.

Her breath caught in her throat. It was her childhood bear. She remembered every detail of it: the way its fur felt, the button eyes, the faded ribbon around its neck. A smile crept across her face as she remembered the many adventures they had together.

She picked up the bear, hugging it close. A feeling of deep affection blossomed within her.

"How much?" she asked the elderly gentleman. "It's free," he replied.

Tears sprang to her eyes. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. She held it close, burying her face in its fur, feeling the comfort of her childhood friend.
