Gemotions

Dust motes danced in the lone beam of sunlight illuminating the attic. A small, wooden toy train sat on a shelf. The woman smiled, her eyes softening as she reached out to pick it up.

She gently ran her fingers over the train, imagining the sound of the wheels as they trundled across the floor. She pictured the joy of the children who must have played with it.

She knew she would keep it and cherish it. She would add it to her collection, and share it with those around her. She wanted to bring the child's spirit back to life.
