The first thing that caught Maria's eye in her new house was the fireplace, a grand stone structure dominating the living room. She loved the idea of cozy evenings.

She was running her hand along the mantelpiece, lost in thought about how she wanted to decorate it, when she felt a draft. Puzzled, she examined the area more closely. A section of the wall above the fireplace felt loose.

She pushed against the seemingly solid wall, and it swung inward, revealing a small room. The room contained a shelf that held an array of cozy blankets, soft pillows and a collection of books. She sat on the floor, surrounded by the warmth of the setting, and inhaled the comfortable scent of old paper and dust.
