The old house welcomed them back, the scent of potpourri and aged wood a familiar embrace. The first thing that struck him was how small it was, even though he knew that wasn't the case. His sister, Isabella, stood quietly beside him.

"Remember when…" He paused, the memories flooding over him. The shared history weighed heavily in the air.

He looked at her and smiled, recalling the stories. He reached out and touched her arm. The weight of the inheritance was palpable.

"We have to make sure we honor her," he said. He felt a surge of tenderness towards his sister, and a desire to make her smile.

Isabella nodded. He saw his own feelings reflected in her eyes.
