"Well, now," said Arthur to himself, the eviction notice resting innocuously in his hands. He chuckled. This was all just another chapter.

He walked to the window, the morning sun bathing the room in a gentle light. He gazed at the familiar street below, at the bustling lives of the people who inhabited it.

He thought of the many connections he'd made in this apartment, the conversations, the shared laughter. It was something special, and he was grateful.

He felt an impulse to get everyone together. He started formulating plans.
