Gemotions

The pulsating bass from the apartment down the hall was a nightly occurrence. Tonight, however, it didn't fill her with the usual frustration. Instead, a sense of… understanding bloomed. She thought of the young woman who lived there, likely working hard, probably needing a release.

She decided to bake. The aroma of cinnamon filled her apartment as she prepared a batch of cinnamon rolls. She wrapped them carefully, then walked to the neighboring apartment, knocking softly. When the door opened, the young woman looked surprised.

"Hi," Sarah said, handing her the rolls. "Just thought you might appreciate these. No need to turn down the music, unless you want to." The young woman's eyes softened, a smile spreading across her face.
