Gemotions

The gallery was a whirlwind of movement, laughter, and chatter. Liam's poems, handwritten in his neat script, were displayed on the walls. He’d never intended for anyone to see them, least of all like this. But seeing his words in the stark white space, the way the letters seemed to dance, made him forget his indignation.

He remembered the feeling of sitting with a notebook in his lap, the quiet focus, the way the words flowed effortlessly from his pen. He recalled the joy he felt when he finally completed one of his poems. He felt as if he could fly. A young woman read one of his poems, her expression softening.

He found himself wanting to reach out to her, to share a moment. He bit his lip, holding back a smile. The air around him felt light, buzzing, almost electric. His chest felt expanded, filled, and he was filled with the overwhelming desire to share all the joys of the world.
