The fluorescent lights of the library seemed to hum with contentment. Liam, sitting cross-legged on the floor, traced the lines of his published essay, “The Echo of Laughter,” with a gentle finger. It felt… right. He thought about his sister, her infectious giggle ringing in his ears, and the way he always felt a surge of energy when they were together. He had written about their shared childhood, the silly jokes, and the unbreakable link between them. A soft sigh escaped him.
